bruiloft Laurence en Ruben

—dit blog is in het engels—-

It was a warm day, it was a great day. About 32 degrees celsius/90 fahrenheit. Maybe (for sure) a bit too hot for groom Ruben and wedding guests wearing jacket and gilet. Luckily I pretended to have misread the dresscode and stayed cool Ibiza Style! White cotton pants and orange short sleeved shirt. Sorry, not sorry đŸ™‚ Airco on full power while bride Laurence was getting ready. Companied by family and friends all the way from MontrĂ©al, Canada. What a blessing! First look and then a small walk to Delft’s city hall. In fact all locations this day we attended by foot. Ruben said yes, Laurence said yes! We walked across “de Boterbrug” to meet the tour boat. Family and friends were treated a tour down the canals of Delft. Laurence, Ruben and I went off to take some portrait pictures. In the shade ofcourse! All the bystanders were so happy this day. I never experienced a wedding couple to receive so many congratualations from the people of Delft. Afterwards we gathered at “Het Meisjeshuis” for the toast. Followed by a 4 course dinner with beautiful family speeches in between. Chef cook Yuri Verbeek is quite the talent here in Holland. The menu consisted of a mix between Canadian and Dutch recipes. I was so happy to taste the canadian maple syrup for the first time in my life. It was delicious! For desert we had fresh fruits with wedding cake. Which had to be traditionally cut first ofcourse by Laurence and Ruben. A small walk back to the house for party and drinks. Laurence and Ruben, your first dance was awesome! I wish all of you lots of happiness and love.
